Donnelly Elementary Reading
Apart, Not Alone4/17/20
So, it's been a month since we were all at school together. I've been in the building a few times since then. Yes, Wendy greets me with a smile and Mrs. A pushes me to be a better teacher, but it isn't the same. Miss Tyra still makes me laugh and Mrs Mani has brilliant but crazy ideas. I even think Mrs. Herbst and Mrs. Stagner miss me disrupting their quiet classes (okay, maybe not). All I can say is it's a strange feeling. Schools need children. Laughing children, talking children, and yes children running in the hallways with scissors. I do not know how we return to normal, but I know three things. First, I have never washed my hands as much as I have the last month. Second, I have never counted how many rolls of toilet paper I have in my house. Last but not least, I will never forget how much I love to teach reading. I miss Donnelly. Jim Griffith 3/30/20
Hello Dragons, I am missing my Donnelly family and I hope to see you soon (from six feet away). Sadly, no one knows how long this will last. Some have noted that this feels like the first few steps of a marathon. I know I am tired already, and a little unsure but I know we will get through this together because as dragons; we take care of each other! On Monday the 30th the Donnelly staff will meet. All of us have spent the last 10 days working on our plans and we are excited to share them with you. Until then goodbye, Jim Griffith ar tests are online!send me a noteI would love to hear how you are doing. Send me a note by clicking on the SEND ME A NOTE tab above
